Installation

BRAKE: BRAKE BOOSTER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Temporarily install the push rod clevis with the lock nut.

(b) Adjust and fully tighten the push rod clevis with the lock nut Adjustments.

2. INSTALL BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the grommet and check valve assembly.

3. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new brake booster gasket to the brake booster assembly.

(b) Install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.





Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake lines.

(c) Install the No. 3 front brake tube and engage the grommet.





(d) Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), connect the No. 3 front brake tube to the front flexible hose LH.

without a union nut wrench - Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

with a union nut wrench - Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).
* This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.
* Do not kink or damage the brake line.
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake line from the clip or bracket.

4. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET Installation

5. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.





(b) Install the push rod clevis to the brake pedal support assembly with the push rod pin and a new clip.

6. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Install the brake pedal return spring.

7. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE (for Manual Transmission) Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK Installation

10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

11. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

12. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER Service and Repair

13. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

14. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Service and Repair

15. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH LINE (for Manual Transmission) Procedures

16. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Service and Repair

17. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

18. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT Adjustments

19. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY Adjustments

20. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE Adjustments

21. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

22. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

23. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

24. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

25. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Installation

26. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation

27. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/o Illumination) Installation

28. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Illumination) Installation

29. INSPECT BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect the VSC sensor signal Test Mode Procedure.

44. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
