Removal





EB60 MANUAL TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 3 nuts and No. 1 floor heat insulator.





6. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

7. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the clip and disconnect the select cable from the shift lever assembly.





(b) Expand the ends of the clip, and then disconnect the shift cable from the shift lever assembly.

(c) Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable.





NOTICE:
Do not remove the stopper. If the stopper is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

(d) Rotate the nut of the transmission control cable counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever retainer.





NOTICE:
Do not over-rotate the nut as it will come off the internal spring and the transmission control cable will not be reusable.

(e) Remove the 4 clips and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transaxle.





(f) Remove the bolt and disconnect the transmission control cable support.





(g) Remove the 2 nuts and pull out the transmission control cable assembly.
