Removal

INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: FRONT CONSOLE BOX: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Twist the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX

(a) Detach the 6 clips.

HINT
* Detach the clips by pulling the console box in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
* Follow the order shown in the illustration when detaching the clips.

(b) Detach the 6 guides and remove the console box.

(c) w/ Seat Heater System:

Disconnect the connector.

3. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) for Manual Transaxle:

Remove the stopper plate and spring.

(b) Detach the 6 claws.

(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the upper console panel.

4. REMOVE UPPER REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the 4 clips, claw and guide and remove the upper rear console panel.

5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX POCKET

(a) Detach the 5 claws and clip.

(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the console box pocket.

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Detach the claw and 2 guides and remove the front No. 2 console box insert.

* Detach the claw and guides by pulling the front No. 2 console box insert in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
* Follow the order shown in the illustration when detaching the claw and guides.

7. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Detach the claw and 2 guides and remove the console box insert.

* Detach the claw and guides by pulling the console box insert in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
* Follow the order shown in the illustration when detaching the claw and guides.

8. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET

(a) Remove the console box carpet.

9. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) for Manual Transaxle:

Remove the 2 screws and 2 bolts.

(b) for Automatic Transaxle:

Remove the 4 screws and 2 bolts.
