INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY
Removal and Installation
CAUTION:
- Disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals.
- Never tamper with or force air bag lid open, as this may adversely affect air bag performance.
- Be careful not to scratch pad and other parts.
INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY
Removal
1. Disconnect both the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes.
2. Remove the center console assembly. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL &
INSTALLATION procedure.
3. Remove instrument lower finisher screw, position instrument lower finisher to disconnect diagnostic connector and hood release cable, and then remove lower finisher.
4. Remove cluster lid C. Refer to CLUSTER LID C - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION procedure.
5. Remove the screws (A) and remove the front air control (1).
6. Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to GLOVE BOX ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION procedure.
7. Remove instrument lower covers (LH and RH).
8. Remove the instrument lower cover (center) screws, disconnect power socket connector and then remove the instrument lower cover (center). Component Parts
9. Remove the instrument upper cover screws and then remove the instrument upper cover. Component Parts
10. Remove the combination meter. Refer to COMBINATION METER - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION procedure.
11. Remove the front pillar garnish. Body Side Trim.
12. Remove the headlamp control switch. Service and Repair.
13. Remove the wiper control switch. Service and Repair.
14. Remove the passenger air bag module bolt (A) from the steering member.
15. Remove the instrument panel lower RH screw (A).
16. Remove the instrument panel screw inside the combination meter opening.
17. Remove the instrument panel screw at the upper LH corner.
18. Remove the instrument panel lower LH screw.
19. Remove the front tweeters (LH and RH), if equipped. Removal And Installation Audio Without Navigation.
20. Remove the upper instrument panel bolts located near the front tweeters (RH and LH).
21. Disconnect the audio antenna.
22. Remove the instrument panel assembly.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CLUSTER LID C
Removal
1. Remove the M/T or CVT shift selector handle. Control Linkage (M/TRS6F94R), Control Linkage (M/T-RS6F52A), Control Linkage (M/TRS6F52H) or CVT Shift Control System (CVT).
2. Release the M/T or CVT finisher, disconnect necessary connectors, and remove finisher. Component Parts
3. Remove the cluster lid C upper mask (non SE-R models). Component Parts

5. Remove cluster lid C (1).
a. Remove cluster lid C screws (A).
b. Pull out cluster lid C (1) to disconnect harness connector and remove cluster lid C (1).
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
COMBINATION METER
Removal
1. Remove steering lock escutcheon (1), remove steering column cover screws (A) and remove steering column cover upper and steering column cover lower (2).
2. Disengage the metal clips, and then remove cluster lid A.
3. Remove the combination meter screws (A), pull out the combination meter (1) to disconnect the connector, remove the combination meter (1).
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
GLOVE BOX ASSEMBLY
Removal
1. Remove cluster lid C. Refer to CLUSTER LID C - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION procedure.
2. Remove the instrument panel trim (RH).
3. Remove glove box lower finisher screws (A), remove glove box lower finisher (1).
4. Remove the glove box assembly
a. Remove the two lower glove box assembly screws (A).
b. Open the glove box and remove the four upper glove box assembly screws (B).
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
INSTRUMENT LOWER FINISHER
Removal
Remove instrument lower finisher screw, position instrument lower finisher to disconnect diagnostic connector and hood release cable, and then remove lower finisher.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CENTER CONSOLE ASSEMBLY
Removal
1. Remove center console mat and remove screws (A).
- Arrow Indicates Front
2. Open center console lid, remove center console felt pad and remove the center console assembly screws (A).
3. Remove the center console assembly.
a. Pull parking brake control handle up engaging the parking brake.
b. Position the center console assembly so the following connectors can be disconnected:
- Heated seat switches, if equipped
- Power socket, if equipped
- USB port, if equipped
- Auxiliary port, if equipped
c. Remove the center console assembly.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
