Removal





AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

7. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH

9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

10. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH





(a) Remove the 3 screws and extension pad.

11. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

12. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH





(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT
It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed later.

13. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER





(a) Put protective tape around the front bumper cover.

(b) Remove the 8 screws.

(c) Detach the clip and remove the bumper seal bracket.





HINT
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

(d) Detach the 6 claws and remove the front bumper cover as shown in the illustration.





HINT
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

(e) Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors.

(f) w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:

Disconnect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector.

15. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Service and Repair

16. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

17. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

18. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 3 bolts and sensor.

19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Detach the claw, and remove the 3 screws and cover.





20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

21. REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER SUPPORT

(a) Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 2 clamps.





(b) Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.





(c) Remove the 5 bolts and upper support.





22. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

23. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser.

NOTICE:
* When loosening the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the hose.
* When loosening the bolt, hold a part of the hose near the connector.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

24. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid tube from the cooler condenser.

NOTICE:
* When loosening the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the tube.
* When loosening the bolt, hold a part of the tube near the connector.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid tube.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

25. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and cooler condenser.

26. REMOVE COOLER DRYER

(a) Using a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the cap from the modulator.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the cap.





(c) Using pliers, remove the cooler dryer.
