Muffler and Catalytic Converter Overview
Catalytic Converter and Front Muffler
1 Front Muffler
• Protect from shocks and impact stress
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left Catalytic Converter ] Left Catalytic Converter
• Install exhaust system free of stress, refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair
2 Gasket
• Replace
3 Nut
• 23 Nm
• Replace
4 Catalytic Converter
• Protect from shocks and impact stress
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Right Catalytic Converter ] Right Catalytic Converter
• Install exhaust system free of stress, refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair
5 Nut
• 23 Nm
• Replace
6 Gasket
• Replace
7 Front Clamping Sleeve
• Before tightening, align exhaust system tension-free, refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair
• Tighten threaded connections evenly.
8 Nut
• 23 Nm
9 Suspended Mount
• Replace if damaged
10 Bolt
• 23 Nm
11 Bolt
• 23 Nm
1 Center Muffler
• Original equipment as one unit with rear muffler. For repairs, replace each separately.
• Separating point between center and rear muffler, refer to => [ Center Muffler and Rear Muffler, Separating ] Center Muffler and Rear Muffler, Separating
• Install exhaust system free of stress, refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair
2 Bolt
• 60 Nm
3 Suspended Mount
• Replace if damaged
4 Bolt
• 23 Nm
5 Clamp
• For the tail pipe
6 Bolt
• 23 Nm
7 Suspended Mount
• Replace if damaged
8 Exhaust Tailpipe
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tail Pipe ] Service and Repair
9 Rear Muffler
• Original equipment as one unit with center muffler. For repairs, replace each separately.
• Separating point between center and rear muffler, refer to => [ Center Muffler and Rear Muffler, Separating ] Center Muffler and Rear Muffler, Separating
• Install exhaust system free of stress, refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair
10 Rear Clamping Sleeve
• For individual replacement of center and rear mufflers
• Before tightening, align exhaust system tension-free, refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair
• Tighten threaded connections evenly.
11 Nut
• 23 Nm
12 Bolt
• 23 Nm
13 Suspended mount
• Replace if damaged
Installed Position of Front Double Clamps
- Install clamping sleeves so threaded connections are below.
• Ends of screws point toward outside of vehicle.
Installed Position of Rear Double Clamps
- Install the left clamping sleeve so the threaded connections are at the left.
• Ends of screws point down.
- Install right clamping sleeve so threaded connections are at top.
• Ends of screws point toward right.
