Left Catalytic Converter






Left Catalytic Converter

Removing






When installing, bring all cable ties back to the same positions.

- Loosen the hose clamps - arrows - and lay the air guide pipe aside with the vacuum hose - 1 - connected.

- Remove the left front muffler. Refer to => [ Front Muffler ] Front Muffler.

- Remove the connector - 3 - for the Oxygen Sensor (O2S) 2 after catalytic converter (G131) from the bracket on the right suspension strut tower, then disconnect it and free up the heated oxygen sensor.






Ignore - 1, 2 and 4 -.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - and - arrows - and then remove the bracket - 2 - for the catalytic converter.






The bolt - 1 - is accessible from the top.

- Remove the nuts - arrows - and then remove the catalytic converter.






Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to:

=> [ Muffler and Catalytic Converter Overview ] Muffler and Catalytic Converter Overview.

=> [ Individual Suspension Components, Left Side ] Muffler and Catalytic Converter Overview.

Replace the seals and self-locking nuts.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Parts Catalog.

To mount the air guide hoses on their connectors securely, spray the bolts on the used clamps with rust remover before installing.

- Install the left front muffler. Refer to => [ Front Muffler ] Front Muffler.
