SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (for Driver Side) Removal

2. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) Removal

3. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) for Driver Side:





(1) Remove the screw.

(2) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 5 claws and remove the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

(3) Remove the seat adjuster cover cap.





(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the snap ring and reclining adjuster release handle RH.

(2) Remove the screw.





(3) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 5 claws and remove the front seat cushion inner shield RH.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the hook.

(c) Remove the screw.





(d) Disengage the 2 claws and clip, and remove the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BELT INNER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster) Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BELT INNER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster) Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BELT INNER ASSEMBLY RH Removal

9. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the snap ring and reclining release handle LH.

10. REMOVE SEAT TRACK LOCK OPEN LEVER LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the snap ring and seat track lock open lever LH.

11. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

12. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Remove the screw and vertical adjusting handle.





13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 5 claws and remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the hook.

(c) Remove the 2 screws.





(d) Disengage the 2 claws and clip, and remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.





16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front seat cushion lower shield LH.

18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

19. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the front No. 2 seat cushion protector.

20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the front seat cushion protector.

21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps and separate the seat cushion airbag wire harness.





(b) Disengage the 4 clamps and separate the front seat side airbag wire harness.





(c) Disconnect the 4 occupant classification sensor connectors.





(d) Disengage the 6 clamps and remove the front seat wire RH.

22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the 2 cushion bands.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts.





(c) Disengage the 2 hooks and remove the front seat cushion wire.

23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Disengage the 4 clamps and separate the front seat side airbag wire harness and front seat cushion airbag wire harness.





(2) Remove the front seatback cover band and 2 cushion bands.





(3) Remove the 4 bolts and the front seatback.





(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Using a screwdriver, remove the E-ring.





(2) Remove the 4 bolts and the front seatback.

(c) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.





(d) Remove the cushion band from the seat cushion frame.

(e) Remove the front seat cushion with cover pad.

24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Disengage the 6 clamps and separate the front seat side airbag wire harness and front seat cushion airbag wire harness.





(b) Disengage the 2 hooks.





(c) Remove the 5 bolts and the front seatback.





(d) Disengage the 9 hooks and remove the front seat cushion with cover pad.





25. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK WITH COVER PAD

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings.





(b) Unfasten the 2 zippers.





(c) Remove the nut and remove the seatback bracket.





(d) Remove the front seatback cover with pad.

26. REMOVE SEATBACK FELT

(a) Remove the seatback felt.
