PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.
Result
B -- CHECK SPEAKER
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.
Result
B -- INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER
C -- INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER
A -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER
(a) Disconnect the M1 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the M1 speaker connector.
(b) Disconnect the R39 amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER Removal
5. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER
(a) Disconnect the L9 and L84 speaker connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK DEFECTIVE SPEAKER AND VEHICLE EQUIPMENT
(a) Check which side of the vehicle the defective speaker is on. Also, check if the vehicle is equipped with the Manual (SOS) Switch.
Result
B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER)
A -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER AND FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER RH)
(a) Disconnect the R35 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the L84 speaker connector.
(c) Disconnect the L111 telematics transceiver connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER (OPERATION)
(a) After replacing the stereo component amplifier with a normal one, check that audio can be heard from the front RH side speaker Removal.
OK:
Audio can be heard.
NG -- REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER Removal
OK -- END (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER IS DEFECTIVE)
9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the R35 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the L9 and L84 speaker connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
for LH
for RH
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER Removal
10. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER
(a) Disconnect the N12 and N4 speaker connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the N12 and N4 speaker connectors.
(b) Disconnect the R35 and R39 amplifier connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
for LH
for RH
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
12. CHECK SPEAKER
(a) Check the malfunctioning speakers.
Result
B -- INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER
A -- Continue to next step.
13. INSPECT REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER
(a) Disconnect the O21 and O10 speaker connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
14. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the R35 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the O21 and O10 speaker connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
for LH
for RH
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER Removal
15. INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER
(a) Disconnect the R20 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
16. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the R39 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the R20 speaker connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER Removal
