Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the lift gate sill trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement (Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement).
2. Remove the rear body side lower garnish molding. Refer to Body Side Rear Garnish Molding Replacement (Body Side Rear Garnish Molding Replacement).
3. Remove the left rear seat belt retractor, if necessary. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Rear (Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Rear).
4. Remove the right rear seat belt retractor, if necessary. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Rear (Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Rear).
5. Remove the rear tool storage compartment tray. Refer to Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement (Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement).
6. Remove the rear storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement (Rear Storage Compartment Replacement).
7. Remove the bolt (1) and the front luggage tie down hook (2).




8. Remove the bolt (2) and the rear luggage tie down hook (1).




9. Remove the two screws (1).
10. Disengage the retainers and remove the luggage compartment trim hooks (2).




11. Disengage the four retainers and the two guides and remove the left tail lamp access cover, if necessary.




12. Disengage the three retainers and the three guides and remove the right tail lamp access cover, if necessary.




13. Disengage the five clips and the three retainers and remove the left rear quarter upper trim panel, if necessary.




14. Disengage the five clips and the three retainers, and remove the right rear upper quarter trim panel, if necessary.

Installation Procedure




1. Engage the five clips and the three retainers, and install the right rear upper quarter trim panel, if removed.




2. Engage the five clips and the three retainers and install the left rear quarter upper trim panel, if removed.




3. Engage the three retainers and the three guides and install the right tail lamp access cover, if removed.




4. Engage the four retainers and the two guides and install the left tail lamp access cover, if removed.




5. Engage the retainers and install the luggage compartment trim hooks (2).
6. Install the two screws (1).





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

7. Install the bolt (2) and the rear luggage tie down hook (1). Tighten the luggage tie down bolt to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).




8. Install the bolt (1) and the front luggage tie down hook (2). Tighten the luggage tie down bolt to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).
9. Install the rear storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement (Rear Storage Compartment Replacement).
10. Install the rear tool storage compartment tray. Refer to Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement (Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement).
11. Install the right rear seat belt retractor, if removed. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Rear (Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Rear).
12. Install the left rear seat belt retractor, if removed. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Rear (Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Rear).
13. Install the rear body side lower garnish molding. Refer to Body Side Rear Garnish Molding Replacement (Body Side Rear Garnish Molding Replacement).
14. Install the lift gate sill trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement (Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement).
