Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement).
3. Remove the right rear seat. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement).
4. Remove the right rear door sill trim. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill))Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill)).
5. Remove the right rear seat garnish trim.
6. Remove the rear storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement (Rear Storage Compartment Replacement).
7. Remove the rear compartment access panel. Refer to Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement (Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement).
8. Remove tool storage access panel. Refer to Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement (Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement).
9. Remove tool storage tray.
10. Remove child tether upper anchor brackets. Refer to Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement (Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement).
11. Remove the right lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement).
12. Remove the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt trim cover.




13. Remove the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt (1).
14. Remove the shoulder belt guide (2).




15. Remove the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt (1).




16. Remove the rear seat belt retractor upper mounting bolt (1).
17. Remove the rear seat belt retractor lower mounting bolt (3).
18. Remove the rear seat belt retractor assembly (2).

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the rear seat belt retractor (2) to the vehicle. Secure the retractor with the upper mounting bolt (1) and the lower mounting bolt (3).

* Tighten the rear seat belt retractor upper mounting bolt to 5 Nm (43 lb in).
* Tighten the rear seat belt retractor lower mounting bolt to 41 Nm (30 lb ft).




2. Install the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt (1).

Tighten the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt to 41 Nm (30 lb ft).




3. Install the shoulder belt guide (2). Secure with bolt (1).

Tighten the seat belt upper anchor bolt to 41 Nm (30 lb ft).

4. Install the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt trim cover.
5. Install the right lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement).
6. Install the child tether upper anchor brackets. Refer to Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement (Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement).
7. Install the tool storage compartment tray.
8. Install the tool storage access panel. Refer to Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement (Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement).
9. Install the rear compartment access panel. Refer to Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement (Tool Stowage Compartment Replacement).
10. Install the rear storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement (Rear Storage Compartment Replacement).
11. Install the right rear seat garnish trim.
12. Install the right rear door sill trim. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill))Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Rear Sill)).
13. Install the right rear seat. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement).
14. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement).
15. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
