INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
First perform the communication function inspections in HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TURN SIGNAL LIGHT)
(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.
Main Body
OK:
Turn signal light condition is switched by Active Test.
NG -- CONFIRM LIGHT POSITION
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)
(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.
Combination Switch
OK:
Condition sign can be displayed.
NG -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the windshield wiper switch with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Check the turn signal light operation.
OK:
Turn signal light operation is normal.
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK -- END (REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH) Removal
4. CONFIRM LIGHT POSITION
(a) Check the malfunctioning turn signal light.
Result
B -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)
C -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER AND BODY GROUND)
D -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TURN SIGNAL FLASHER - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU)
E -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER AND BODY GROUND)
A -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TURN SIGNAL FLASHER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the L1 flasher connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
