Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper

Removing

- Remove ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.

- Remove the front noise insulation - 1 -.






- Remove the right noise insulation - arrows -.






- Remove the noise insulation frame - arrow - and the rear noise insulation.






- Remove the vibration damper bolts while counterholding it with an open end wrench.






Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Drive and Accessory Bracket Assembly Overview ] Ribbed Belt Drive and Accessory Bracket Assembly Overview.

Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

• Replace the vibration damper bolts.

• Only possible to install in one position: The vibration damper crankshaft hole - arrow - must be positioned over the protrusion on the toothed belt sprocket.






- Install the noise insulation frame and the noise insulation.

- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Vibration Damper ] Service and Repair.
