Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module (J587) with the Tiptronic Switch (F189)

The selector lever sensor system control module and the tiptronic switch are a single component.

Tiptronic switch magnets are secured in cover.

Removing






- Remove the handle from the selector lever. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Selector Lever Handle.

- Remove the selector lever transmission range position display unit (Y26). Refer to => [ Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit (Y26) ] 0C8A Automatic Transmission.

- Remove the frame with the multimedia system control head (E380) - 1 -. Refer to "Center Console" in.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the selector lever sensor system control module together with the tiptronic switch.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Selector Mechanism Overview ] Selector Mechanism Overview

- Position the selector lever sensor system control module and tiptronic switch on the selector mechanism and tighten the screws - arrows - to tightening specification.






- Connect the connector - 1 - to the selector lever sensor system control module with tiptronic switch.

- Remove the frame with the multimedia system control head - 1 -.

- Install the handle on the selector lever. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Selector Lever Handle.

- Install the selector lever transmission range position display unit. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit (Y26) ] 0C8A Automatic Transmission.
