Connecting the breakout box

General information
Check on the connectors that the male and female pins are intact and securely in place (cannot be pressed in), and check that the cables to the female pins are connected securely on the pins.
The breakout box is designed to facilitate the reading of control module input and output signals when the control module is connected as well as the resistance of cables and components when the control module is disconnected. Using the breakout box reduces the risk of unintentionally short-circuiting cables or damaging pins in the connectors.

Connecting the breakout box
- Ignition off
- To expose the connectors for the phone module (PHM).
- To expose the connectors for the handset: Handset, replacing Replacing Handset.
- To expose the connector for the SIM-card reader: Infotainment control module (ICM), replacing Infotainment Control Module (ICM), Replacing.
Connect breakout box 951 1428 Breakout box 951 1428 Breakout Box to the adapter.

Phone module (PHM)
- Connect adapter 951 1463 Adapter 22-16-14 pin 951 1463 Adapter 22-16-14 Pin to the control module's connector A.
- Connect adapter 951 2888 16-pin AUD adapter 951 2888 16-Pin AUD Adapter to the control module's connector B.
- For connector A, #A1-#A22 correspond to #1-#22 on the breakout box.
- For connector B, #B1-#B6 correspond to #21-#26 on the breakout box.

Handset
- Connect adapter 951 1508 Adapter 10-7-5 pin 951 1508 Adapter 10-7-5 Pin to the handset's connector.
- For the connector, #1-#5 correspond to #21-#25 on the breakout box.

SIM-card holder
- Connect adapter 951 2888 16-pin AUD adapter 951 2888 16-Pin AUD Adapter to the SIM-card holder's connector.
- For the connector, #1-#6 correspond to #21-#26 on the breakout box.
