Checking AM Reception
Checking AM reception
Checking the audio system
Use the "Seek" function to test the audio system to determine whether the AM reception is good enough.
The result should be compared to a reference vehicle which must be identical and have good AM reception.
Park the cars beside each other outdoors. Ensure that buildings and other objects do not screen the AM reception.
Ensure that the tests are carried out at approximately the same times, the quality of AM reception changes at dawn and dusk.
Start the test by selecting an audible radio station at the lowest frequency. Use the "Seek" button and make a note of the number of audible radio stations.
Carry out a test using the "Seek" function before the car is handed over to the customer to ensure that AM reception has improved.
