Subframe, Stabilizer Bar and Lower Control Arm Assembly Overview

Welding and straightening work on supporting or wheel carrying components of suspension is not permitted.

Always replace self-locking nuts.

Always replace corroded bolts/nuts.

If components with bonded rubber bushings were replaced or bolts/nuts on these components were loosened, corresponding wheel suspension must be lifted into curb weight position. Refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Bringing to Curb Weight Position ] Procedures.





1 Front Final Drive

2 Subframe

Locating, refer to => [ Subframe, Securing ] Description and Operation.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Subframe ] Removal and Replacement.

Servicing, refer to => [ Subframe ] Overhaul.

3 Nut

M12 x 1.5

90 Nm + 90° turn

Always replace after removal.

4 Bolt

M12 x 1.5 x 90

Always replace after removal.

5 Bolt

M12 x 1.5 x 90

90 Nm + 90° turn

Always replace after removal.

6 Bolt

M14 x 1.5 x 115

120 Nm + 180° turn

Always replace after removal.

7 Nut

M14 x 1.5

180 Nm

Always replace after removal.

8 Eccentric Washer

9 Eccentric Bolt

10 Bolt

M14 x 1.5 x 150

120 Nm + 180° turn

Always replace after removal.

11 Lower Control Arm

Conical pin must be free of grease and oil.

If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.

Bonded Rubber Bushing, Camber Adjustment Bolt Connection, Pressing Out and In, refer to => [ Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Camber Adjusting Bolt Connection ] Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Camber Adjusting Bolt Connection.

Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjustment Bolt Connection, Pressing Out and In, refer to => [ Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjusting Bolt Connection ] Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjusting Bolt Connection.

Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjustment Bolt Connection, 18" Wheel, Pressing Out and In, refer to => [ Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjusting Bolt Connection, 18 Inch Plus Suspension ] Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjusting Bolt Connection, 18 Inch Plus Suspension.

12 Nut

Self-locking

M14 x 1.5

105 Nm

Always replace after removal.

13 Wheel Bearing Housing

Conical bores must be free of grease and oil.

If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.

Different versions for 16" and 17"/18"/18" Plus wheels.

Allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

14 Separable Stabilizer Bar

15 Stabilizer Bar Mount

When installing, larger outer diameter must face wheel side.
