Subframe, Stabilizer Bar and Lower Control Arm Assembly Overview

• Welding and straightening work on supporting or wheel carrying components of suspension is not permitted.

• Always replace self-locking nuts.

• Always replace corroded bolts/nuts.

• If components with bonded rubber bushings were replaced or bolts/nuts on these components were loosened, corresponding wheel suspension must be lifted into curb weight position. Refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Bringing to Curb Weight Position ] Procedures.





1 Front Final Drive

2 Subframe

• Servicing, refer to => [ Subframe ] Overhaul.

3 Nut

• M12 x 1.5

• 90 Nm + 90° turn

• Always replace after removal.

4 Bolt

• M12 x 1.5 x 90

• Always replace after removal.

5 Bolt

• M12 x 1.5 x 90

• 90 Nm + 90° turn

• Always replace after removal.

6 Bolt

• M14 x 1.5 x 115

• 120 Nm + 180° turn

• Always replace after removal.

7 Nut

• M14 x 1.5

• 180 Nm

• Always replace after removal.

8 Eccentric Washer

10 Bolt

• M14 x 1.5 x 150

• 120 Nm + 180° turn

• Always replace after removal.

11 Lower Control Arm

• Conical pin must be free of grease and oil.

• If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Control Arm ] Service and Repair.

• Bonded Rubber Bushing, Camber Adjustment Bolt Connection, Pressing Out and In, refer to => [ Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Camber Adjusting Bolt Connection ] Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Camber Adjusting Bolt Connection.

• Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjustment Bolt Connection, Pressing Out and In, refer to => [ Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjusting Bolt Connection ] Lower Control Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing, Caster Adjusting Bolt Connection.

12 Nut

• Self-locking

• M14 x 1.5

• 105 Nm

• Always replace after removal.

13 Wheel Bearing Housing

• Conical bores must be free of grease and oil.

• If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.

• Different versions for 16" and 17"/18"/18" Plus wheels.

• Allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

14 Separable Stabilizer Bar

• When installing, larger outer diameter must face wheel side.
