FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD

(a) Install the engine moving control rod with the bolt.





Torque : 100 Nm (1020 kgf-cm, 74 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD COVER (for Cold Area)

(a) Install the engine moving control rod cover with the 2 clips.

3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD LH

(a) Install the side bumper guard LH with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD

(a) Install the front bumper with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

6. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Provisionally tighten the front lower suspension arm sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and the nut.





7. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

8. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR

9. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET LH Installation

10. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

11. INSTALL FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY

(a) Support the front frame assembly with 4 wooden blocks and the jack.

(b) Provisionally install the front frame assembly onto the body with the 6 bolts.

(c) By inserting SST into the datum holes in the front frame assembly RH and LH alternately, tighten bolts A and B on both sides to the specified torque, in several steps.

SST : 09670-00011

Bolt A - Torque : 108 Nm (1101 kgf-cm, 80 ft-lbf)

Bolt B - Torque : 120 Nm (1224 kgf-cm, 89 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Insert SST into the datum hole in a vertical orientation.
* If SST cannot be inserted into the datum hole vertically, loosen all the bolts and then insert SST again.

(d) Install the engine moving control rod to engine mounting control bracket with the bolt.





Torque : 120 Nm (1224 kgf-cm, 89 ft-lbf)

(e) Remove the strong rope from engine mounting control bracket and body.

12. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

14. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH Installation

15. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

16. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

17. POSITION WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

18. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation

19. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

20. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

21. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

(a) Install the No. 2 engine under cover and the 3 bolts.





Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

22. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER

(a) Install the 3 clips and the No.3 engine under cover.

23. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

(a) Install the 4clips and the front floor cover LH.

24. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

(a) Install the 4clips and the front floor cover RH.

25. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

26. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
