Installation

FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM: INSTALLATION

1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Provisionally tighten the front lower suspension arm sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and the nut.

(b) Install the front lower suspension arm sub-assembly onto the steering knuckle.

(c) Using a ball joint lock nut wrench 19 mm, fully tighten a new castle nut.





Torque : 98 Nm (999 kgf-cm, 72 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a ball joint lock nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.
* If the holes for the clip are not aligned, tighten the nut by a further turn of up to 60°.

(d) Install a new clip.

2. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

3. POSITION WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

4. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

(a) Lower the vehicle from the jack.

(b) Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.

5. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Fully tighten the 2 bolts and the nut.

Torque : 145 Nm (1479 kgf-cm, 107 ft-lbf)

6. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for RH Side)

(a) Install the 3 clips and the No.3 engine under cover.

7. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
