Installation





CLUTCH: CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the master cylinder bracket to the clutch master cylinder assembly.

(b) Install the clutch master cylinder assembly with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

2. CONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS Installation

3. CONNECT CLUTCH LINE

(a) Using a union nut wrench, connect the clutch line.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

4. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE

(a) Connect the clutch reservoir tube to the clutch master cylinder assembly with the clip.

NOTICE:
* Connect the clutch reservoir tube so that it will not be twisted.
* Make sure that the light blue paint mark is positioned as shown in the illustration.

5. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

6. FILL BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR

(a) Add brake fluid to keep the level between the MIN and MAX lines of the reservoir while bleeding the brakes.

Brake Fluid:

SAE J1703 or FMVSS No. 116 DOT3

7. BLEED CLUTCH LINE Procedures

8. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Testing and Inspection

9. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

Check for leakage in the clutch system.

10. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

11. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
