CLUTCH: CLUTCH PEDAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS BUSH

(a) Apply MP grease to the inside of a new clutch master cylinder push rod clevis bush.

(b) Install the clevis bush to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

HINT
Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis bush from the left side of the vehicle.

2. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL CUSHION

(a) Install the 2 clutch pedal cushions to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

3. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL BUSH

(a) Apply MP grease to the inner and outer surfaces of 2 new clutch pedal bushes.

(b) Install the 2 clutch pedal bushes to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

4. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL PAD

(a) Install the clutch pedal pad to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

5. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL TURNOVER BUSH

(a) Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the clutch pedal turnover bush.

(b) Install the clutch pedal turnover bush to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

6. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING HOLDER

(a) Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the clutch pedal spring holder.

(b) Install the clutch pedal spring holder to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

7. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the clutch pedal sub-assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the bolt and nut.

Torque : 37 Nm (375 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

HINT
Install the bolt from the right side of the vehicle.

8. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL STOPPER BOLT

(a) Install the clutch pedal stopper bolt so that its end touches the clutch pedal cushion.

HINT
Tighten the clutch pedal stopper nut to the specified torque when adjusting the clutch pedal Adjustments.

9. INSTALL NUT

(a) Install the nut to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

10. INSTALL TURNOVER SPRING

(a) Move the pedal to the full stroke position.

(b) Install the turnover spring to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

11. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Clutch Start System) Removal

12. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Cruise Control System) Removal

13. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the clutch pedal support assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.

for Bolt - Torque : 14 Nm (140 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

for Nut - Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(b) w/o Cruise Control System:

Connect the clutch pedal switch connector.

(c) w/ Cruise Control System:

Connect the 2 clutch pedal switch connectors.

14. CONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the clevis pin and clevis.

(b) Connect the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with the clevis pin and install a new clip.

HINT
Install the clevis pin from the right side of the vehicle.

15. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY
