AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR AXLE HUB BOLT: REPLACEMENT

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

Removal

3. LOOSEN PARKING BRAKE CABLE Removal

4. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR

5. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY Removal

6. DISCONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE REAR DISC Removal

8. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT LH





(a) Temporarily install 2 nuts and 2 washers to the rear axle hub bolt as shown in the illustration.

(b) Using SST and a brass bar or an equivalent tool to hold the hub and bearing assembly, remove the rear axle hub bolt.

9. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT LH





(a) Install a washer and nut to a new rear axle hub bolt as shown in the illustration.

(b) Using a brass bar or an equivalent tool to hold the hub and bearing assembly, install the rear axle hub bolt by tightening the nut.

10. INSTALL REAR DISC Installation

11. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Installation

12. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY Installation

13. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR

14. INSPECT AND ADJUST PARKING BRAKE
