SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
* A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Check that the ignition switch is off.

(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

(c) Attach the 2 guides and temporarily install the front seat outer belt retractor with the 2 bolts labeled A and B.

NOTICE:
When installing the retractor, make sure the guides of the vehicle only contact the installation areas of the retractor.

(d) Tighten the bolt labeled A.

Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

(e) Tighten the bolt labeled B.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(f) Connect the pretensioner connector to the front seat outer belt retractor.

NOTICE:
When handling the pretensioner connector, take care not to damage the pretensioner wire harness.

(g) Push in the lock plate to lock the pretensioner connector.

(h) Temporarily connect the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor with the bolt labeled C.

(i) Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the hole of the upper center pillar garnish to the surface.





(j) Temporarily connect the front seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt labeled D.

(k) Check that the front seat outer belt is not twisted.

(l) Tighten the 2 bolts labeled C and D to install the front seat outer belt.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(m) Attach the guide and clip.





(n) Install the upper center pillar garnish LH with the 2 bolts.

5. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) When installing the front seat outer belt RH:

Install the separate type rear seatback assembly RH Installation.

6. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

7. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH Installation

8. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL FRONT DECK FLOOR BOX Installation

10. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX RH Installation

11. INSTALL JACK ASSEMBLY Installation

12. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH Installation

13. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Installation

14. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover) Installation

15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

16. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
