Replacing Convertible Top Compartment Lid

41 63 061 - Replacing convertible top compartment lid





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove convertible top compartment lid Removing and installing Convertible Top Compartment Lid
- Remove trim on convertible top compartment lid Removing and Installing / Replacing Trim on Convertible Top Compartment Lid
- Remove seal between trim and convertible top compartment lid Removing and Installing / Replacing Middle Seal on Convertible Top Compartment Lid (Top/Connected)
- Remove front seal Replacing Front Seal on Convertible Top Compartment Lid





Release screws on striker (1) and remove striker (1).
Tightening torque 51 17 5AZ 51 17 Flaps.

Release screws on holder for drive cylinder (2) and remove holder (2).

Tightening torque 51 17 7AZ 51 17 Flaps.

Up to 09/04:

If necessary, unscrew bump stop (3).

From 09/04:

Release expander rivet on spacer plate and remove bump stop (3).

Installation:
Replace spacer plate.
