Front Trim Bracket, Compressor and Multicontour Seat Control Module

Removing






• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic, Electrical and Mechanical Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Testing and Inspection.

• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Remove the front seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat ] Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.

- Carefully release latch - arrow -, remove pneumatic line - 1 - from the compressor - 2 -.

- Free up pneumatic line to the compressor.

- Remove memory seat/steering column adjustment control module. Refer to => [ Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module J136/J521 ] Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module J136/J521.

- Remove sill side trim together with front trim. Refer to => [ Sill Side Trim with Front Trim ] Sill Side Trim With Front Trim.

- Disengage the tunnel side seat cover molding - 1 - from the bracket. Refer to => [ Seat Cover with Seat Cushion for Multi-contour Seat ] Seat Cover With Seat Cushion For Multi-Contour Seat.






- Free up the electric wire - 3 - from the bracket.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - and - 4 - and the bracket - arrow -.

Installation






- Insert the bracket for the front trim - arrows -. When doing this make sure the tabs - 2 - fit into the bracket - 1, 3 and 4 -.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic, Electrical and Mechanical Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Testing and Inspection.

• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, connecting electrical connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

• Observe all measures when installing the front seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat ] Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat.
