Rear Lid Assembly Overview






1 Rear lid

• A second person is needed during removal and installation to support and hold the rear lid.

• Removing

• Mark the position of the rear lid on the rear lid hinge with a felt-tip pen before removing.

- Remove the rear lid trim panel.

- Disconnect the electric wires on the connectors and remove them from the rear lid.

- Remove the top bolt on the rear lid side first.

- Remove the bolts on both sides of the rear lid and then remove the rear lid. Refer to => [ Rear Lid Hinge ] Rear Lid Hinge.

• Installing: in reverse order.

• Adjusting:

- Adjust the front height and the position of the rear lid lengthwise using the hood hinge.

- Adjust the height of the back of the rear lid by adjusting the rear lid lock.

- Align the rear lid so it is centered according to the gap dimensions => [ Rear Lid, Adjusting ] Rear Lid, Adjusting.

- Adjusting buffer stops

2 Seal

• Removing and installing => [ Rear Lid Seal ] Rear Lid Seal

3 Nuts

• 21 Nm

4 Rear lid lock

• Removing and installing => [ Rear Lid Latch ] Rear Lid Latch

5 Stop

• Hood side

6 Bolt

• 8 Nm

7 Nuts

• 21 Nm

8 Striker

• Adjusting:

- Tighten the nuts - 7 - hand-tight (it must still be possible to move the end plate).

- Close the rear lid so that it is flush with the side panels.

- Open the rear lid and tighten the nuts.

9 Mount for the rear lid drive

• Removing=> [ (Item 4) Mount for the rear lid drive ] Rear Lid Motor 1 and Rear Lid Motor 2

10 Bolt

• 8 Nm

11 Adjusting buffer

• Body-side, adjustment => [ Adjusting Adjusting Buffer ] Rear Lid, Adjusting

12 Bolt

• 21 Nm

13 Rear lid hinge

• Removing and installing => [ Rear Lid Hinge ] Rear Lid Hinge

14 Bolt

• 21 Nm

15 Bolt

• 21 Nm
