Rear Lid Hinge
• Remove and install the left and right hinges one after the other when replacing the hinges on both sides.
• Mark the position of the hinges on the rear lid before removing them.
• Use the markings on the rear lid hinge - arrow - when adjusting the hinge lengthwise.
1 Hood hinge
Removal:
- Remove the rear lid hinge cover.
- Remove the rear roof grab handle.
- Lower the headliner around the bolts.
• To prevent damaging the rear lid or the vehicle body, support the rear lid to keep it from falling down.
- Remove the bolts - 2 - from the roof.
- Remove the bolts - 3 - from front hinge.
- Remove the side bolts - 4 - from the rear lid hinge and remove the hinge.
Installing:
- Tighten the upper hinge bolts - 3 - to the rear lid - 2 - loosely.
- Install the side bolts - 4 - into the rear lid and tighten them loosely.
- Line up the hinge with the markings on the rear lid and tighten the bolts to the tightening specification.
- Adjust the gap between the rear lid and the roof, align the sides and then tighten the bolts - 2 - to the tightening specification.

Replacing Rear Lid Hinge Cover

• Self-adhesive
• Make sure there is no dust or grease on the hinge cover adhesive surface.
• Peel the protective film off the tape after installing the hinge cover.
• Removing
- Remove the clip and and the rear hinge cover.
• Installing
- Install the hinge cover into the side wall frames. While doing this, the pins - arrow - on the cover - 4 - must fit into the eyes in the hinge cover.
- Push the hinge cover upward over the right tab next to the rear lid hinge.
- Push the side clips into the roof frame.
- Peel off the protective film between the roof frame and the hinge cover.
- Press the hinge cover on the roof frame using force.

• Press into the side wall frame and roof frame.
