Sunroof / Moonroof: Adjustments

Sun roof, adjusting

As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Vertical adjustment

Note! For tightening torques, see Tightening torque [1][2]Body and Frame.




Slacken off the screws.
Lower the sun roof to its closed position.

Front edge:
The upper section of the molding must be flush with or one mm under the roof panel (dimension A).

Rear edge:
The upper section of the molding must be flush with or one mm above the roof panel (dimension A).

Install the 4 M5 screws. Tighten.
Calibrate the sun roof control module. See Sun roof module (SRM), calibrating Programming and Relearning.
Install the cargo compartment cover.

Adjusting sideways and front-rear

Note! For tightening torques, see Tightening torque [1][2]Body and Frame.




Remove the headlining. See Headlining, replacing Service and Repair.
Slacken off the 8 M6 screws.
Move the sun roof unit so that the sun roof is under even pressure on all sides.
Check the function of the sun roof by opening and closing it as far as it will go.

Note! The screws must be tightened for the function check.

Calibrate the sun roof control module. See Sun roof module (SRM), calibrating Programming and Relearning.
Tighten the 8 M6 screws.
Install the headlining. See Headlining, replacing Service and Repair.
