Ventilation vents and seals, replacing

Note! The illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models. Some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

The outer vents on the dashboard and the seal




Remove the cover on the side of the dashboard.
Remove the light switch. See Switches lights, replacing Service and Repair.
Detach the catches on the underneath.
Press out the lower edge. Then detach the remainder.
Replace the seal if necessary.
Install in reverse order.

Air vent center dashboard, replacing





Removing the center vent
Position a weatherstrip tool between the panel and the dashboard on the short side of the vent.
Detach the catches closest to the weatherstrip tool and pry out and detach the vent at the same time.




Disconnect the connector for the hazard warning signal flasher.

Installing the center vent
Connect the connector for the hazard warning signal flasher.
Press the panel into place.

Dashboard vent, side defroster (driver's side)





Removal
- Remove the side panel on the dashboard
- Remove the outer vent on the driver's side. See The outer vents on the dashboard and the seal
- Position a weatherstrip tool under the outer side of the side vent
- Insert your hand through the opening on to the catch for the outer vent and press the vent up and off.

Installation
- Position the pipe duct in position through the opening for the vent
- Position the vent and press it into place
- Install the outer vent. See The outer vents on the dashboard and the seal
- The side panel on the driver's side of the dashboard.

Dashboard vent, side defroster (passenger side)





Removal
- Fold down the glove compartment. See Glove compartment, replacing, B5244T5, B5254T2
- Position a straightening tool under the outer side of the side vent
- Press the catch by hand and press off the side vent.

Installation
- Position the pipe duct in position through the opening for the glove compartment
- Position the side vent and press it into place
- Fold up the glove compartment so that the catches fasten.

Vents on the side panel on the center console





Removal
- Remove the side panel. Pull off the vent.

Installation
- Install in reverse order.

B-post vent
