Panel, B-post, replacing
Removing the B-post panel
Remove:
- the sill trim panel. See Front door sill trim panel Front Door Sill Trim Panel
- the sill trim panel. See Rear side door sill trim panel, left and right Rear Side Door Sill Trim Panel, Left and Right
- the end mounting from the front seat seat belt. See Seat belt buckle end mounting , (non-power seats only)
- the end mounting on the front seat seat belt on power seats: Release the catches from underneath.
Move the seat as far forward as possible.
Detach the weatherstrip at the panel: Pull straight to the side.
Pull the lower section of the panel inwards into the car.
Pull straight downwards, press the steel clips outwards (both sides) and releases the insert at the top edge.
Pull downwards until the panel releases.
Lift upwards until the panel is free
Remove the seat belt cover
Thread the seat belt through the panel.
Installing the B-post panel
Install:
In reverse order.
B-post ventilation vent
Remove. See Removing the B-post panel.
Release the fastener.
Press out the vent.
Installing the B-post ventilation vent
Install:
In reverse order.
Tighten the seat belt. Tighten to 48 Nm.
Caution! When installing the B-post panel: Check that the wiring for the seat belt, tensioner and sensor is tensioned and secured in the correct position. Otherwise the wiring may be damaged when the panel is installed.
