Bushing rear sub-frame, replacing

Early design of the bushing




This replacement method applies to the early design of the bushing. The figure illustrates the early design.

Removal





Remove:
- the rear wheels
- the screws in the bracket under the exhaust pipe.
Position a lifting table under the sub-frame.
Apply the lifting table so that the load is taken off the sub-frame screws.
Remove the 2 x rear screws.
Carefully lower the sub-frame approximately 70 mm.

Removing the bushing





Note! Mark up the bushing position in relation to the sub-frame.

Install the hydraulic cylinder. Use 999 7054 Adapter incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 999 7054 Adapter Incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 with 999 7096 Ring 999 7096 Ring , socket 999 7095 Socket 999 7095 Socket , drift 999 7046 Drift 999 7046 Drift , nut: 999 7132 Nut M12 999 7132 Nut M12 and connecting rod 999 7034 Connecting rod M12X400 999 7034 Connecting Rod M12X400.
Pull the bushing out.

Installation

Installing the new bushing design

Note! Align the bushing in relation to the sub-frame as illustrated.

Press in the bushing.

Use special tool:
- 951 2923 Hydraulic hole cylinder 951 2923 Hydraulic Hole Cylinder together with 951 2566 Hydraulic pump 951 2566 Hydraulic Pump
- 999 7244 Counterhold 999 7244 Counterhold
- 999 7243 Socket 999 7243 Socket
- 999 7054 Adapter incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 999 7054 Adapter Incl. 2x MC6C M6X12
- 999 7037 Connecting rod M14X400 999 7037 Connecting Rod M14X400





Note! The cutout on the washer (see arrow), should be directed forward to be seated correctly for the filler pipe support.

Use 951 2923 Hydraulic hole cylinder 951 2923 Hydraulic Hole Cylinder together with 951 2566 Hydraulic pump 951 2566 Hydraulic Pump




Press the washer in position.

Use special tool:
- 999 7244 Counterhold 999 7244 Counterhold must be turned with the flat side against the bushing
- 999 7097 Drift 999 7097 Drift must be turned with the flat side against the washer
- 999 7054 Adapter incl. 2x MC6C M6X12 999 7054 Adapter Incl. 2x MC6C M6X12
- 951 2923 Hydraulic hole cylinder 951 2923 Hydraulic Hole Cylinder together with 951 2566 Hydraulic pump 951 2566 Hydraulic Pump
- 999 7037 Connecting rod M14X400 999 7037 Connecting Rod M14X400




Carefully raise the vehicle's rear suspension.

Warning! Always ensure that the vehicle rests on the lift's lift arms when working with the lifting table.

Install:
- the screws for the sub-frame, 2 pc. Tighten, see: Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications
- the bracket for the filler pipe
- the 2 x M8 screws in the bracket under the exhaust pipe.
Remove the lifting table.

Install the rear wheels. See Installing wheels Service and Repair.
