Carbon filter container, replacing

Removing the exhaust system
Remove:
- the exhaust system from the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) and backward. See Exhaust system, replacing Service and Repair.
Removing the heat deflector plate
Remove:
- left rear wheel
- the plastic nut for the fender liner. Bend the fender liner out of the way.
Drill out the heat deflector plate rivet on the sub-frame left rear bushing.
Remove:
- the two plastic nuts (1)
- the screw (2)
- the heat deflector plate.
Removing the carbon filter container
Remove:
- the hoses
- the two nuts
- the carbon filter container.
Tightening torque

Installing the carbon filter container
Install:
- the carbon filter container
- the two nuts. (M6)
- the hoses.
Installing the heat deflector plate
Install:
- the heat deflector plate
- the two plastic nuts (1)
- the screw (2).
Pop rivet the exhaust pipe heat deflector into the left rear sub-frame mounting.
Install the fender liner. Tighten the fender liner with the plastic nut.
Install the rear wheel. See Installing wheels Service and Repair.
Installing the exhaust system
Install the exhaust system starting from the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) and working backward. See Exhaust system, replacing Service and Repair.
