Headlamp/bulb, replacing

Preparatory work

Removing the bumper casing




Ignition off.
Set the switch for external lighting to zero.
Detach the casing for the bumper on the relevant side. See: Bumper front, replacing Service and Repair.
Remove the 4 screws from the bumper guide.

Caution! Carefully tension the casing and the guide for the bumper when working with headlamps.

Removal

Removing the headlamp





Caution! Position a guard over the casing when removing the headlamp.

Remove:
- the 4 screws for the headlamp
- the connectors
- the headlamp.

Location of components




1. Turn signal lamps
2. Parking lamps, applies to vehicles equipped with Bi Xenon lamps
3. Parking lamps, applies to vehicles equipped with halogen lamps
4. Dipped beam
5. Main beam
6. Sidemarker lamps front.

Installation

Installing the headlamp

Note! Carefully tension the casing and the guide for the bumper when working with headlamps.

Install:
- the connectors
- the headlamp
- the 4 x screws
- the bumper guide
- the 4 x screws
- the casing for the bumper on the relevant side. See: Bumper front, replacing Service and Repair.

Finishing

Checking the light pattern
Check and adjust the light pattern. See: Headlamps, aligning Adjustments.
