Cover/armrest tunnel, replacing

Removal

Removing the cover / armrest





Remove:
- the rear cigarette lighter socket. See: Cigarette lighter assembly/electrical socket rear, replacing, M58, M66, M66 AWD, AW50/51 AWD, AW55-50/51SN, M56 Cigarette Lighter / Electrical Socket, Rear, Replacing
- the 6 screws
- the armrest
- the 2 covers.

Transferring components

Transferring the cover




Remove the shaft by pressing the catches as illustrated (1). Press straight out.

Hint: Use a sleeve with extension rod. Press the shaft out.




Remove the 2 covers.

Hint: Use a weatherstrip tool and pry from below.




Remove the 2 screws.
Unclip the upper cover as illustrated.

Note! Take note of the springs.




Remove the 2 screws.
Disassemble the lower cover by prying out the lower edge at the buttons. Separate the lower section from the upper section.

Installation

Installing the cover / armrest

Install:
- the 2 covers Align the guides on the sides
- the 2 screws
- the cover/armrest.

Note! Note the position of the springs.

Install:
- the 2 screws
- the armrest
- the 2 covers
- the 6 screws
- the rear cigarette lighter socket. See: Cigarette lighter assembly/electrical socket rear, replacing, M58, M66, M66 AWD, AW50/51 AWD, AW55-50/51SN, M56 Cigarette Lighter / Electrical Socket, Rear, Replacing.
