Cigarette lighter assembly/electrical socket rear, replacing

Preparatory work

Ignition off




Ignition off.

Removal

Removing the ashtray




Open the ashtray so that it passes the hooks.
Remove the holder for the ashtray. Press the catches down and remove the holder.

Detaching the center console




Detach the center console at the rear edge.
Remove the 2 screws.

Removing the rear cover




Lift up the rear edge of the center console.

Remove:
- the 4 screws
- the cover.

Removing the cigarette lighter/electrical socket rear





Remove:
- the connector
- the lighter sleeve by releasing the catch (see the illustration) using a small screwdriver. Press out the lighter sleeve to release the catch.

Installation

Installing the units

Install:
- the lighter sleeve
- the connector
- the cover
- the 4 screws. Lift up the rear edge of the center console
- the 2 screws for the center console
- the ashtray.

Finishing

Function test
Test the function.
