Fog lamps

Note! This accessory requires software unique to the car.

Preparations and installation

- Move the left front seat to the rearmost position.




- Raise the car.
- Cut out the embossed covers (1) on the left and right-hand sides of the bumper cover.

Note! Cut around the outer (2) marking.

- Score around the marking in the material to create a template.
- Carefully cut through the material.
- Remove the cut-out section. Smooth the edges if necessary.

Applies to cars with air baffles on the left and right-hand sides





Remove:
- the screw (1) in the air baffle (2) on both sides.
- the air baffle by pulling backwards.




- Remove the screws (1). Slacken off the air baffle (2).
- Release the catches (3). Pull the air baffle backwards.
- Remove the air baffle.

Applies to cars from model year 2001-





Remove:
- the pre-routed connector (1) from the parking component in one of the fog lamp mountings.
- the parking component from the fog lamp mounting (it will no longer be used).
- Repeat the operation on the other side.

Applies to all models




- Install the spring nuts (1) in the holes on the left and right-hand sides.




- Install a fog lamp on the right and left-hand sides. Use the screws (1) (from the kit).

Connection and finishing work

Applies to model year 2000








- Take the cable harness from the kit. Connect the short cable end (1) to the left-hand fog lamp. Connect the long cable end to the right-hand fog lamp.
- Press the cable into the two clamps (2).
- Connect the connector (3) to the pre-routed connector at the left-hand fender liner.
- Press the cable harness for the right-hand fog lamp into place under the air intake. Use the existing clamps (1). See illustration B.

Applies to cars from model year 2001-




- Connect the pre-routed connectors to the fog lamps on the right and left-hand sides.

Applies to all models
- Reinstall the air baffle(s), if applicable.
- Lower the car.




- The fuse is pre-installed for model year 2005- (CH 173000-) cars. Go to step Fog lamps Fog Lamps.
- Remove the cover (1) for the fuse holder.
- Install a 15A fuse:
- in terminal 3 for model year 2000 cars.
- in position 18 for cars up to and including model year 2001 - 2004.
- Reinstall the cover.





Remove:
- the side panel (1). First slacken off the screw clip at the rear edge of the panel. Pull the panel outward and backward.
- the soundproofing panel (2). First remove the screws (3). Then pry off the soundproofing panel at the rear edge, where it is secured using three clips (4).




- Install the relay (1) from the kit in the relay holder socket marked MI11.
- Reinstall the soundproofing panel and the side panel.

- Remove the cover (1) on the lighting control panel.
- Install the fibre optic (2) and the button (3) from the kit. Press the button into place.
- Program the software according to the service information in VIDA.
- Check the function. Align the lamps.
