Auxiliary Cabin Heater Ignitor: Service and Repair






Replacing the combustion unit

Preparation
Remove the heater. See Replacing the heater assembly Replacing the Heater Assembly.

Removing the combustion unit





Remove:
- fan intake (A)
- electrical terminal (B) on the glow plug, see Replacing the glow plugs Replacing the Glow Plugs
- glow plug (C), see Replacing the glow plugs Replacing the Glow Plugs
- flame sensor (D).




- Remove the fuel line (E) by slackening off the screw (F) securing the mounting bracket (G)
- Slacken off the two screws (H) holding the fan shroud. Lift off the cover
- Pry up the combustion unit by using a tool to pry in the hole for the glow plug.

Note! Do not damage the glow plug thread.

Installation
- Assemble in reverse order.

Note! Ensure that the hole for the glow plug is correctly positioned.

Finishing
Install the heater. See Replacing the heater assembly Replacing the Heater Assembly.
