Rear Seat Backrest Covers and Cushion

The description relates to the 2/3 unit of the rear seat backrest. The work steps for the 1/3 unit are to be derived from this.

Removal

- Switch off the ignition.

- Remove the 2/3 unit of the bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seats ] Bench Seats.

- Remove the 2/3 unit of the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Rear Seats ] Rear Seats.

- Remove the outer trim of the 2/3 unit. Refer to => [ Outer Trims of the Rear Seats ] Outer Trims of the Rear Seats.

- Remove the pass-through. Refer to => [ Pass-Through ] Pass-Through.

- Remove the headrest of the 2/3 unit. Refer to => [ Headrest ] Headrest.

- Remove the headrest guides of the 2/3 unit. Refer to => [ Rear Headrest Guides ] Rear Headrest Guides.

- Remove the rear center belt anchor. Refer to => [ Rear Center Belt Anchor ] Rear Center Belt Anchor.

- Use the wedge (T10383) to carefully pry the belt extraction panel - 1 - from the console - 2 -.






- Use a small screwdriver to lift the retaining tab - 1 - in the trim - 2 - slightly and detach the trim from the backrest.






- Remove the second trim in the backrest as described.

- Pry out and remove the profiles - 3 - on the back of the backrest - 2 - - arrow -.






- Roll up the cover - 1 - on the sides.

- Remove the cushion - 2 - and cover - 3 - from the backrest - 1 -.






- Cut all upholstery clips in the cushion channels and detach the cover from the cushion.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

When installing upholstery clips, use upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634).
