Removing

Vehicles with panorama sunroof

- Open the panorama sunroof.

- Switch off the ignition.

- Slide wedge (T10039/1) between frame - 1 - and headliner - 2 -.

- Separate frame around circumference of headliner in - direction of arrow - using lever (T10039).






Vehicles with screen separator wall

- Remove the screen separator wall bracket - 3 - :

• Vehicles with standard roof => [ Screen Separator Wall Bracket Overview, Vehicles without Panoramic Sunroof ] Screen Separator Wall Bracket Overview, Vehicles without Panoramic Sunroof

• Vehicles with panorama sunroof => [ Screen Separator Wall Bracket Overview, Vehicles with Panoramic Sunroof ] Screen Separator Wall Bracket Overview, Vehicles with Panoramic Sunroof

All vehicles

- Remove roof end strip. Refer to => [ Roof End Strip, Wagon ] Roof End Strip, Wagon

- Remove upper A-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to => [ Upper A-Pillar Trim ] Upper A-pillar Trim.

- Remove upper B-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to => [ Upper B-Pillar Trim ] Upper B-pillar Trim.

- Remove D-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to => [ D-Pillar Trim ] D-pillar Trim.

- Remove lights and switches in headliner.

- Remove left and right sun visors - 1 -. Refer to => [ Sun Visor ] Sun Visor.

- Remove the two bolts - 4 - (2 Nm).

- Remove the left and right grab handles (roof) - 2 -. Refer to => [ Roof Grab Handles ] Roof Grab Handles.



- Lower headliner slightly and (depending on vehicle equipment) disconnect wiring harnesses from headliner.

- Lower the front seat backrests all the way back.

- Remove the headliner through the opened rear lid.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
