Left Temperature Door Motor (V158) and Potentiometer/Actuator (G220)

Removing

- Remove the driver footwell vent. Refer to => [ Footwell Vent, Driver Side ] Footwell Vent, Driver Side.

- Remove the left footwell (in the middle console). Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim.

- Remove the side bolts on the lower mount - 1 - (9 Nm) for the heater and A/C unit.

- Pull the mount in the direction of the brake pedal - arrow - and secure it with the cable ties.






- Disconnect the connector - 5 - from the left temperature door motor - 3 -.

- Remove the bolts - 6 - (1.5 Nm).

- Loosen the connecting rod - 2 - on the temperature door.

- Remove the left temperature door motor - 3 - and the connecting rod - 2 -, from the counterholder - 4 - and from the heater and A/C unit.

- Disconnect the adjusting lever - 1 - for the left temperature door motor - 3 - from the connecting rod - 2 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Install the wiring harness so that it cannot come in contact with any moving parts (for example, the lever on the motor).

After installing the left temperature door motor, check the recirculating air door function.

Perform a "basic setting" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to => [ Checking and Adjusting Components, Automatic Control System ] Checking and Adjusting Components, Automatic Control System.

Check and erase the DTC memory.
