Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order while observing the following:
• The selector lever is in the "D" position.
• The button in the knob is in the installed position - arrow - and points in the direction of travel during installation.
• There is the possibility that the button can be pressed into the knob. Never install the knob when the button is pressed in.
• A new handle is delivered with an assembly fastener. Pull out the fastener just prior to installation.
If the button was pushed in by mistake, the installed position can be set again. To do this, press the button and push the assembly fastener all the way in, release the button and then pull the assembly fastener back out again. The button engages in the installed position.
- Install the knob on the selector lever with a new clamp until it snaps into place.
- Push the button in the selector lever knob in.
• In the case of incorrect assembly, the button remains in the knob after operation. The knob must be reinstalled.
