Shift Interlock: Service and Repair






Shift Lock Solenoid (N110)

Removing

- Remove the selector mechanism. Refer to => [ Selector Mechanism ] Selector Mechanism.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 1 - from the shift lock solenoid.






When removing the solenoid, lift it in the front slightly so that the ball head - 2 - disengages from the operating lever - 1 -.






- Release the retaining tab - arrow A - and remove the shift lock solenoid in a forward direction - arrow B -.






Installing

- Unclip and remove the guide - 1 - for the emergency release lever in the - direction of the arrow -.






The selector lever is in the "S" position.

- Pull the emergency release lever - arrow - up.






The operating lever - 1 - for the shift lock solenoid moves into its installed position when the emergency release lever is pulled up.






- At the same time, install the shift lock solenoid in the guide at an angle from above and allow it to engage.

The ball head - 2 - on the shift lock solenoid must fit into the operating lever on the selector mechanism.

Further installation is performed in the reverse sequence.
