Rear Side Airbags Crash Sensors







Rear Side Airbags Crash Sensors

Removal and installation is described for the right-hand side of the vehicle. Removal and installation for the left-hand side is performed in the same manner.

Removing

CAUTION!
Read the Safety Instructions for working with airbags, belt tensioners and battery cut-out units. Refer to => [ Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units, General Safety Precautions ] Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units, General Safety Precautions.

- Disconnect batteries.

- Remove C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-Pillar Trim ] C-Pillar Trim.

- Remove roof end strip. Refer to => [ Roof End Strip ] Roof End Strip

- Remove D-pillar trim. Refer to => [ D-Pillar Trim ] D-Pillar Trim.

- Remove rear lock carrier cover. Refer to=> [ Rear Lock Carrier Cover ] Rear Lock Carrier Cover

- Remove luggage compartment floor. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Floor ] Luggage Compartment Floor.

- Remove backrest:

left => [ Left Seat Backrest ] Left Seat Backrest

right => [ Right Seat Backrest ] Right Seat Backrest

- Remove side wall trim. Refer to => [ Side Trim ] Side Trim.

- Remove the two bolts - 1 - (9 Nm).

- Disconnect the wiring harness - 3 - from the crash sensor - 2 -.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

- Switch the ignition on.

CAUTION!
Make sure that no persons are in the vehicle.

- Connect battery ground (GND) strap.
