Intermediate Shaft, with CV Joint VL107

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench 40-200 Nm (VAG 1332)

Removing

- Remove the right drive axle. Refer to --> [ Drive Axle, with CV Joints VL90, VL100 and VL107 Bolted to Intermediate Shaft ] Drive Axle, with CV Joints VL90, VL100 and VL107 Bolted to Intermediate Shaft.

- Loosen the bolts - arrows - for the intermediate shaft mounting bracket.





- Pull the intermediate shaft off from the transmission.

Intermediate shaft disassembling, refer to --> [ Intermediate Shaft, Drive Axle with CV Joint VL107 ] Intermediate Shaft, Drive Axle with CV Joint VL107.

Installing

- First replace the seal - 1 - on transmission.





- Now slide the intermediate shaft onto the transmission stub shaft until the bearing - 2 - makes contact with the mounting bracket - 1 - - arrow - without a gap.





- Tighten the bolts - arrow - to specifications.





- Install the right drive axle. Refer to --> [ Drive Axle, with CV Joints VL90, VL100 and VL107 Bolted to Intermediate Shaft ] Drive Axle, with CV Joints VL90, VL100 and VL107 Bolted to Intermediate Shaft.

Tightening Specifications
