Dual Mass Flywheel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Flywheel Retainer (3067)

Removing

- Remove the transmission.


To prevent damage to the dual mass flywheel when removing, the bolts - B - must not be removed using an air-powered or impact wrench. Only removing the bolts by hand is permitted.

- Rotate the dual mass flywheel - A - so that the bolts - B - are centered in the holes - arrows -.





- When removing the bolts - B -, make sure the bolt head does not come into contact with the dual mass flywheel - arrows - or the flywheel could be damaged when removing the bolt.

- Install the flywheel retainer (3067) into hole in the cylinder block - B -.





- Remove the dual mass flywheel.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Tightening specifications, see - item 6 - in => [ Sealing Flange and Dual Mass Flywheel/Drive Plate Overview ] Service and Repair.

- Secure with new bolts.

- Install (3067) into hole in cylinder block - A -.
