Amplifier: Description and Operation
Amplifier (R12)
• Before troubleshooting or servicing, the technicians must be familiar with the function and operation of the radio and radio navigation system.
• Additional information, refer to the Owner's Manuals.
• Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051B) in "Guided Fault Finding" when servicing or fault finding.
• When the battery is reconnected, check any affected system or component (radio, clock, comfort electrical connection etc.) according to the Repair Information and/or the Owner's Manual.
Sound system amplifier is available in one version only:
• 10-channel amplifier as "Dynaudio Authentic Fidelity" sound system
The sound system amplifier serves to expand the sound of the radio unit or radio navigation system.
The activation of signal inputs to amplifier occurs via radio unit or radio navigation system speaker outputs.
Amplifier is installed under front left seat.
Removing and installing amplifier, refer to => [ Amplifier (R12) ] Service and Repair.
Troubleshooting
Amplifier is equipped with On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities
To fault find, use "Guided Fault Finding" in the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester.
