DOOR / HATCH: FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY

Removal

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

4. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that the side No. 1 trim RH can be removed.

5. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that the side No. 1 trim LH can be removed.

6. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER Removal

7. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER RH Removal

8. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER LH

Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

9. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSEMBLY RH Removal

10. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

11. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side Removal.

12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY

(a) Remove the luggage compartment tray.

13. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the claw and remove the fuel lid lock open lever.

(c) Disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable.

14. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 5 clips and peel back the floor carpet.

HINT
Peel back the floor carpet enough to allow removal and installation of the fuel lid lock control cable.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and separate the fuel lid lock control cable from the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

15. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER

(a) Remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer by rotating it as shown in the illustration.
