EB60 MANUAL TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL: REPLACEMENT

1. DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL Service and Repair

2. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

Removal

3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL LH

(a) Using SST, tap out the transmission case oil seal LH.





SST : 09308-00010

4. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL RH

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and drive shaft bearing bracket.

(b) Using SST, tap out the transaxle case oil seal RH.

5. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL LH

(a) Coat the lip of a new transmission case oil seal LH with MP grease.





(b) Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

Standard depth:

-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0196 to 0.0196 in.)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the lip of the oil seal.

6. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL RH

(a) Coat the lip of a new transaxle case oil seal RH with MP grease.





(b) Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

Standard depth:

-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0196 to 0.0196 in.)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the lip of the oil seal.

(c) Install the drive shaft bearing bracket with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 64 Nm (650 kgf-cm, 47 ft-lbf)

7. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

8. ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL Service and Repair

9. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL Testing and Inspection

10. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
