CLUTCH: CLUTCH PEDAL: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

Removal

2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Removal

3. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Remove the clip and clevis pin and disconnect the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis.

4. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) w/o Cruise Control System:

Disconnect the clutch pedal switch connector.

(b) w/ Cruise Control System:

Disconnect the 2 clutch pedal switch connectors.

(c) Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and clutch pedal support assembly.

5. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Cruise Control System) Removal

6. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Clutch Start System) Removal

7. REMOVE TURNOVER SPRING

(a) Move the pedal to the full stroke position and remove the turnover spring.

8. REMOVE NUT

(a) Remove the nut from the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

9. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL STOPPER BOLT

(a) Loosen the clutch pedal stopper nut and remove the clutch pedal stopper bolt from the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

(b) Remove the clutch pedal stopper nut from the clutch pedal stopper bolt.

10. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut, bolt and clutch pedal sub-assembly from the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

11. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING HOLDER

(a) Remove the clutch pedal spring holder from the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

12. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL TURNOVER BUSH

(a) Remove the clutch pedal turnover bush from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

13. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL PAD

(a) Remove the clutch pedal pad from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

14. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL BUSH

(a) Remove the 2 clutch pedal bushes from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

15. REMOVE CLUTCH PEDAL CUSHION

(a) Remove the 2 clutch pedal cushions from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

16. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS BUSH

(a) Using an 8 mm hexagon wrench and hammer, tap out the master cylinder push rod clevis bush from the clutch pedal sub-assembly.
