Installation
AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL CONDENSER
(a) Install the condenser into the vehicle.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the condenser or radiator when installing the condenser.
HINT
If a new condenser is installed, add compressor oil to the condenser as follows.
Capacity:
Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz.)
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL8 or equivalent.
2. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe and the connecting part of the condenser.
(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring onto the air conditioning tube.
(d) Install the air conditioning tube onto the condenser with the bolt.
Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
3. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose and the connecting part of the condenser.
(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the hose joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring onto the discharge hose.
(d) Install the discharge hose onto the condenser with the bolt.
Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
4. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD
(a) Install the No. 2 fan shroud onto the radiator with the 2 bolts.
Torque : 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf)
5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION Installation
6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY Installation
8. INSTALL NO. 1 WATER HOSE CLAMP BRACKET
(a) Install the No. 1 water hose clamp bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
9. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER
(a) Install the battery carrier with the bolt and nut.
Torque : 17 Nm (168 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf for Bolt)
Torque : 3.5 Nm (35 kgf-cm, 31 in-lbf for Nut)
10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Installation
11. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE Installation
12. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH Installation
13. INSPECT HOOD Adjustments
14. ADJUST HOOD Adjustments
15. CHARGE REFRIGERANT Service and Repair
16. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair
17. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair
